    Single parenting is becoming more and more common in today's society and does not seem to carry such a negative stigma. In the United States, since 2002, the family structure of children aged ten to eighteen has been composed of 43% living in a first married family with their parents, 23% living in a second marriage, 20% living in a second marriage single parent, 6% living in a single parent has never married a family. This is an alarming statistic because it shows the sad side of relationships and how little attention is given to them before having children. The school system needs to do a better job of educating teenagers about the seriousness and responsibility when deciding to start a family. Universities as well as religious groups should be able to offer advice when children are planned. It's understandable that accidents can happen, but in the majority of cases, adults are fully aware of the issues when considering starting a family. If a couple is not emotionally stable, it may not be in all parties' best interests to have a child. Having a child in hopes of fixing the relationship is also a bad thing
