America is one of the most influential countries in the world. Thanks to the broad horizon of its territory, America acquired numerous resources and powerful military control over time. These capabilities allow America to take advantage of other countries like Mexico. America began to “intimidate” Mexico starting in the 19th century. After independence in 1776, America expanded its territory in North America while other countries like Europe competed for land in Africa and Asia. Democrats use the term "Manifest Destiny" to encourage and publicize to their population the expansion and merging of lands from the West Coast to the Pacific Ocean. Yet the land belongs to Mexico. Without a doubt, this has never stopped America from getting what it wants. After the failed attempt to purchase Mexico's land, the Republic of Texas' underhanded independence action established a solid foundation for continued American intimidation of Mexico. Due to the conflict between the United States and Mexico over the Lone Star Texas border, in May 1846, the Mexican-American War began. This unjust war continued until 1847, these two countries began to negotiate, 1848, Mexico signed the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. As a result, more than half of Mexico's land was confiscated by America. Thanks to the Mexican-American War, America became one of the largest countries in North America and established the dominant position in the world. All these advantages are the result of bullying a weaker country. Even the President of the United States, Ulysses S. Grant, declared: "I, for one, was bitterly opposed to this measure and, to this day, I consider the war that resulted to be one of the most unjust never led by a stronger party against a stronger country. a weaker nation. America has bullied Mexico for over a hundred years in order to gain ground...enough to pass the test. America has bullied Mexico since the 19th century. Using Texas independence as an excuse, the bullying accelerates with the Mexican-American War and the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo as a result of the bullying. These injustices and injustices make America stronger than ever, but it also shows that the United States will do anything for its own benefit. This might be a good thing for a country because expansion can bring economic and military prosperity, but from a humanist perspective, America is a tyrant and enslaves Mexicans. Although today relations between Mexico and America are friendly, tensions remain between Chicanos and Americans due to the aftereffects of the war. Regardless, America should stop bullying other countries because the suffering Mexicans endured should never happen again..
