  • Essay / Dystopian world in “Taronga” By Victor Kelleher

Almost everyone knows about animal abuse, so why is there no difference? We may not see it, but even though we say we love our pets, we often end up betraying them. We think we are doing good, but in the end we control them and rob them of their freedom. How far is too far? Both issues that were presented are important in today's society. However, this last question remains the most controversial of our times. Ask yourself, how often do you watch the news or listen to a radio report without hearing about a government issue? There are constant reports of tax increases, suspected fraud, or misuse of our money by the government. The question is: is our government transforming us into a dystopian society? This question is not only presented in “Taronga”, through the direction of Steve and Molly, but also in the book “Animal Farm” by George Orwell. In this dystopian book, a group of farm animals overthrow the human owners to live a life of freedom, but the pigs take leadership and begin to control and manipulate the animals, until they lead a worse life than before. not actually working, but directing and supervising others. Given their superior knowledge, it was natural that they would assume leadership. 4George OrwellAuthor of “Animal Farm"
