    The relationship between Malaysia and the Thai governmentThe relationship and cooperation in handling the southern Thailand problem between Malaysia and the Thai government for a long time has become disappointed, frustrated and dissatisfied. This is perhaps the best description that has been sought since the establishment of working relations between former Thai governments and their Malaysian counterparts in southern Thailand (Thanet, 2013). For the Thai government, cooperation with Malaysian authorities is very necessary in the face of separatist insurgents who often cross the porous border from Thailand. Meanwhile, for the Malaysian side, the sharing of the same ethnicity and Islamic religion among Muslims in southern Thailand meant that their politicians had to have a key role to play in understanding and resolving the problems of insurgency in southern Thailand. One might therefore logically think that, without the help of the Malaysian government, issues related to Muslim separatist moments in the Deep South would be difficult to resolve.....
