  • Essay / Exploring Career Options - 1940

It is best for every student to take the time to think about what career field to pursue after completing their studies. Deciding which career path to pursue depends largely on the life experiences of the person making the decision and what talents best suit them. I recently took the time to start looking at my future career options as well as looking at my life experiences and interests to help guide my career decisions. We can all find the career that will satisfy us if we allow ourselves to put the time and effort into the decision that it deserves. I had to make decisions about my future career and evaluate those decisions. There are many careers that I thought I would be best suited for when I thought about what career I wanted to pursue. A career I thought I would be a good fit for would have been as a private business owner. Entrepreneurs are generally self-starters and passionate about the business they run. Although this is a quality I see in myself, it only represents a small part of the attributes required to succeed in entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurs often have to work in many different areas of the businesses they start. This often requires them to travel during a typical work day. I never wanted to be confined to an office while working for a living, and while I knew that traveling and running businesses would be good for my career's psychic income, I felt that it could also become extremely expensive and tedious. Travel may be necessary because many entrepreneurs often have to work in different locations when starting their business because they are the ones handling most of the day-to-day tasks. Entrepreneurship is also...... middle of paper ......skills everyone needs to succeed. Being an entrepreneur or business owner was the most diverse career option I considered and while I know I could be successful in whatever career path I choose, I believe the best career for me will be that of a soldier. chaplain. I took the time here to consider my characteristics and qualifications for careers that would interest me. I would advise all students considering their future career to carefully weigh the options based on their qualifications and interests. The more informed we are about the careers we want to pursue, the more likely we are to find the career we will enjoy the most and in which we will be most successful. The career choices we make today can affect the rest of our lives, but how they affect us depends on how informed we are at the time we make the decision.
