But while Bradley was working as a boilermaker at the Wabash Railroad, his Sunday school teacher asked him to take the entrance exam to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Bradley originally planned to save money to attend the University of Missouri in Columbia to study law, but when the opportunity presented itself, he immediately took it.
