Survival is indeed a word that can change a human's perspective on what they need to do to stay alive. To survive, people are known to go to great lengths and do things they normally wouldn't do. I've noticed this throughout my life watching movies and reading books. Most of the time, it is the main character who finds himself facing death, and who does everything to stay alive. I've put together some great examples that show people in their survival situations and what they will do to make it out alive. The movie “SAW” produced a series of life-changing films. I'm going to choose a certain scene from "SAW V" that seems to be the best example. A detective, Strahm, is on a case involving a guy named Jigsaw who puts a group of people into contraptions he built. He does this, then gives them the choice between dying or committing a scandalous act to stay alive. In this particular scene, Strahm is kidnapped and wakes up with his head stuck in a glass box.
