    IntroductionDue to the advent of economic globalization and increasing standards of living across the world, a series of changes, large and small, have come to our attention. However, in the meantime, every individual and group has faced intense competition and pressure. In today's society, people go to great lengths to thrive in such a society and so do businesses. In order to have a greater impact, companies are constantly trying to improve the productivity of their employees, which itself is directly linked to their profits and the market share they have. Being able to increase productivity is and always will be a major goal for managers in every organization. Motivation, among other issues, is increasingly considered a major priority in any given organization since the level of motivation is always closely linked to employee productivity levels. The higher the level of motivation produced by managers, the higher the productivity levels of their employees. Unfortunately, being able to increase motivation is easier said than done! Motivation theory is a very difficult subject to put into practice, because it cuts across several different disciplines. This article will begin with a brief description of motivation theories, then I will focus on exploring Herzberg's theory, then analyzing how to improve employee productivity using his motivation theory.
