This part of the dimensions appears when the results and conditions are not known to anyone. Some people react differently to the doubt factor. Different people will be more comfortable while others will be forced to enter or remain in an uncomfortable position (Hofstede, 2001). The ability to stay in one of these positions helps avoid uncertainty. The midpoint of the Five Dimensions is what is called the collective and individualistic dimension. An individualistic society refers to a society that has unanswered ends with another person in the society. Loose ties are often tied to the individual and their immediate family. They focus largely on the basis of decisions about who is the “we” and who is the “I”. It is very closely integrated with the relational ties of other people belonging to the groups as well as their extended families. The long-term orientation dimension is the fourth of the five dimensions. Long-term orientation focuses only on the future. A group that constructs this type of dimension takes the mistakes it has learned from in a short-term memory situation and uses this information to formulate a plan for the future (Hofstede, 2001). Adaptability plays an important role if you adopt a cultural stance, as well as a strong moral value.
