    Another issue that began to emerge around this time was in the comic book industry. The comic book industry was struggling to get on the same page with women and their newfound desires. It seemed like the comics industry was more anti-feminist than actually pro-women. Comics really needed to think about this and didn't want to start a huge problem that would result in lost sales and interest from both the male and female demographic. They decided to come up with another strategy. In the Golden Age, the comic book industry offered fun animal stories that resembled genre features. They would have small vocal roles for the females to play the mother, daughter and lover of these animals. This made a small start with women in comics. Around the 1940s, comics were on the right track when they began collaborating with more progressive minds like DC Comics, who believed that women should start making an appearance instead of just having their voices heard. The comic book industry decided to create heroic storylines that included women as heroines. This was done solely to appease women and not to make it seem like they were a threat to male power..
