    During the Holocaust, many concentration camps were built by the Nazis for the murder and suffering of Jews. As Hitler wanted all Jews on Earth to perish, he wanted these concentration camps to be brought in and killed one by one. These Jews were killed in various ways in these concentration camps and no one knew anything about it. No one outside knew anything about it because it was kept a huge secret. These concentration camps marked the end of the Jewish life course. Auschwitz concentration camp was appointed as the first commander of Auschwitz Rudolf Hoss who had experience leading concentration camps. Auschwitz was located in southern Poland, in a city called Krakow. When the camp was built, nearby homes and factories were bulldozed to make room for the camp. Even if this were true, Auschwitz was not intended to be a concentration camp. Auschwitz was intended to be a detention center for Polish citizens arrested after Germany's capture of Poland in 1939.
