Because in my opinion this book really teaches you the truth about profiling and how profiling is used in criminal investigations. I also find it very interesting how John Douglas explains through the book the motivations and thoughts of offenders like Ed Gein, Wayne Williams, Ed Kemper, etc. I really enjoyed the parts of the book where Joh Douglas explains how they solved crimes using profiling as an investigative technique. I think explaining profiling while explaining how John Douglas himself used it in his investigations was a very interesting read, and it was also a good way to teach. I think this book should be read if you want to work in law enforcement because it teaches you a lot about offenders and their behaviors, things that will be very useful to an investigator.
