Climate change is affecting the world in a way that may seem like a slow change that will not be noticeable in the next few years but more in the next few decades . However, this is false and climate change is now affecting the world. This manifests itself in measurable ways, including temperature change, sea level rise, fish migration and the ecosystem. Even though these issues may seem very broad, they are not the only ones linked to climate change. There are many other smaller events that are primarily linked to temperature changes, such as the recent increase in the number and magnitude of extreme weather. Although it may seem that climate change is just a figment of the imagination of scientists and politicians, it is actually a real problem that affects everyday society in small but still prevalent ways. According to leading national institutions, climate change is driving up insurance prices on coastal properties due to perceived sea level rise, likely attributed to climate change (80). Lorenzoni and Pidgeon argue that public opinion polls indicate that people view climate change as an environmental, not a national, concern (81). If people don't take climate change seriously and work at the micro level, it will be harder to achieve concrete results. Oil companies and car manufacturers are the least likely to tell the truth about climate change, while environmental scientists and doctors are the most likely (86), according to a study of the percentage of respondents in the UK. Although the existence of climate change is widely known, the limited understanding of its causes proves to be a burden on the issue. Another problem with climate change concerns the perceived benefits: many people like warmer, less wintery temperatures.
