Essay / Why do teenagers use social networks? - 1210
Teenagers make their comments seem harmless or playful, but in reality, they can be hurtful to others. According to Sylvan Barnet and Hugo Adam Bedau, authors and researchers of Current Issues and Enduring Questions: A Guide to Critical Thinking and Argument, with Readings, Lauren Tarshis believes that adolescents should "think before they publish" (596). In other words, teenagers make reckless decisions by posting careless comments on social media, without thinking about the impact their words will have on someone else. Teenagers use social media as a way to express their opinions about others, but they don't consider others. Therefore, teenagers need to be aware of what they say on social media.
