Finding a balance between nature and man “There is no equivalent in beauty in America! » I thought excitedly when I first laid eyes on our American landscape. The fascinating forests and wondrous lakes surpassed the stories I heard growing up. However, it leaves me perplexed when I see landscapes that hinder my sense of awe. Even though there are intact forests, “No littering” signs seemed to be omnipresent. One could easily wonder why so much effort was put into preserving an already pristine land. We must therefore find a balance between the preservation of nature and human expansion. We should intervene little in nature, because we do not understand or know everything, but we should also not hesitate to act when it would benefit our prosperity. Today, with the advancement of technology, people are unaware of what will or will not destroy the environment. It is important to increase public awareness of the facts so that a delicate balance can be struck..
