  • Essay / Personal Statement: Why I want to become a school teacher

Above all, I will ensure that every student who passes through my class is treated equally. I will show respect to each child and resolve problems to the best of my ability. I will make a promise of trust to the children knowing that I am here for them and that I am someone they can turn to at any time. I will protect every student, keeping them from danger. Showing kindness and enthusiasm in my class is very important to me. I will make each mission challenging, but not too difficult to complete. I will involve families as much as possible and when necessary. All rules will apply to everyone. I will demonstrate moral courage and intellectual integrity. My work will be based on knowledge of how children learn and develop. The bond between the child and the family will be a priority. I promise my students an adventurous, stimulating, caring and safe environment. I will protect every child and report any suspected abuse. Finally, I will base all my relationships with children, family, peers, colleagues and the community on respect and trust. I think this is what it will take to make me the best teacher possible.
