Jennifer Borda's strategy was developed at a time when annual fashion shows were first being introduced in the United States. The parades fostered unity among American women, empowering them to discuss their progress and elaborate on their future needs. As such, the parades coalesced the women's feminist movement, allowing them to seek an audience among the political leaders of the time (Borda, 2011, p. 213-216). However, Borda points out that the challenges posed by the parades could hamper the women's movement and bring disparity to their image. Therefore, the divergence between women has triggered the derailment of the defense of justice for women. However, the depiction of the annual parades and their impact in newspapers does not address the subject from a global perspective (Borda, 2011, p. 213).
