Essay / Endangered Species Act Essay - 2418
It prohibits anyone, including a private person and a federal agency, from “taking” endangered wildlife or harming any species listed. This section makes it illegal to import or export any species into or out of the United States. It prohibits the possession, sale, delivery, transportation, or transportation of any listed animal near the United States. Consequences may occur if a person violates any instructions relating to endangered species or any plants considered threatened. Permits can be issued if the “capture” of an endangered species occurs for a good reason. Permits may be used for scientific reasons, for the recovery or protection of endangered species, or for purposes incidental to conducting legal activity (Albrech 2008). The Endangered Species Act is a very powerful law. It has helped save many species while protecting the threatened habitat of various animals. Even though the law regulates the rules, many people disobey the law and prevent endangered species from continuing their lives uninterrupted. Many challenges are forming and obstacles make ESA difficult to complete.
