What does it mean to be inspired? To me, being inspired means being motivated to do good in the world, to pursue your dreams or even to “reach for the stars”. When you are inspired, other people or actions influence you positively. Recently I watched the movie Rudy and it's definitely something I won't look back on as just another movie I watched in class, but something that will inspire me for the rest of my life. The movie Rudy, based on a true story, is about a man named Rudy Ruettiger who never gives up on his dream of attending and playing football at Norte Dame University. However, Rudy's dream seems unrealistic and he faces many obstacles along the way. First, Rudy's family didn't believe in him. Rudy's journey was difficult as his family, especially his father, did not expect much from him, coming from a small-town joint family. His father hoped he would find a job at a local factory after graduating from high school and follow in his footsteps. He doesn't believe Rudy will achieve his dreams. When Rudy goes home to see his family, they make fun of him ...
