As surprising as it may seem, no training is required to become a music producer. It is, however, very useful and more likely to increase employment chances if there is some training. There are schools across the country that offer music production programs that teach the technical aspects of music and it is recommended to enroll in one of these degree programs if one is pursuing a career as a producer of music. There are several degrees that will make teaching music production easier, such as the Bachelor of Music in Music Production and the Bachelor of Science in Music Technology.
