Her rhetorical strategies are effective in providing a logical, credible, and powerless reason for why someone cannot be born with prejudice. Whether we all agree or not, prejudice is alive and strong in today's society and Douglass and other civil rights activists who fought for it would roll over in their graves to know that American society has regressed instead of progressing on the issue of prejudice. However, Douglas' convincing arguments prove that prejudice in society should not exist because it can be overcome and I support his opinion.
