Throughout this course, I will research the effects of early experiences on brain development. Studies have recognized the impact of child abuse on health and emotional safety. After a brief assessment of the neurobiology of childhood disorders, researchers used the study of adverse childhood experiences in conjunction with epidemiological and neurobiological confirmation of the effects of child abuse and trauma. The study included 17,337 adult members and assessed 8 horrific childhood experiences; including abuse, witnessing domestic violence, and serious family dysfunction. They then used the resulting score as an indicator of increasing strain in childhood and hypothesized an association of the score with 18 selected findings and overall outcomes. Based on logistic regression analysis, the threat of each outcome in the affective, somatic, substance abuse, memory, sexual, and aggression-related spheres of influence increased incrementally as the score amplified. The article supports the aforementioned articles and would therefore contribute to the proposed study. An annotated bibliography includes a synopsis or evaluation of each of the resources that will be used. The annotated bibliography is useful for assessing understanding of the literature, as well as signifying appropriate evaluation of the information acquired. The annotated bibliography could also be used, collectively, as a comprehensive understanding of the research important to an article. One of the most important reasons behind citing sources and accumulating a universal bibliography is so that an individual can demonstrate that they have done applicable research to support their dispute and claims. An annotated bibliography offers explicit information about every resource an individual has used.
