    The continued development of technology, on a global scale, offers individuals the opportunity to move from a traditional way of life - in which modern technology does not play a role central in daily life - to an electronic environment. – or one in which digital devices play a vital role in personal and social development. Since their introduction, mobile computing devices have become very popular. Not just in English-speaking countries, like the United States, but in countries all over the world. With English being the language that ushered in the digital age, the demand for learning English for non-English speaking people has increased significantly. The digital age increases the chances of achieving a higher standard of living, which is why everyone wants to learn the language of opportunity. They seek to improve primary skills: reading, speaking, writing and listening in English. Reading comprehension is considered a problem for English as a Second Language (ESL) learners. In the educational setting, teachers use different learning theories to develop ESL students' reading comprehension. In today's digital age, there is a theoretical direction of learning that seeks to improve reading skills, called the connectionist model or connectivism. Therefore, the connectionist model uses modern tablet technologies to help improve English reading skills for ESL.
