    How would humans communicate with each other without names? Names describe people in terms of personality, traits, and association. This is why names are extremely important and are therefore used in films such as Bound, in order to create a deeper meaning in a character's actions and personality. The film Bound is written and directed by the Wachowskis. The film is about two lesbians: ex-convict Corky and lesbian prostitute Violet who is in a relationship with mafia money launderer Caesar but decides to escape from Caesar after meeting Corky because she has fallen in love with him. her at the moment when she lost her in the elevator. Violet therefore wants to leave César for Corky, but that's not all. She and Corky strategize to steal two million dollars from the mob and place the blame on Caesar. “Your name defines you,” says Los Angeles talent manager Gregg Steiner (Parenting). In the movie Bound, character names have a lot of meaning and some have more connotations than others. Each character's name has symbolic meaning for the character's role in the film and this is very evident in Corky, Violet and Caesar as well as the supporting cast: Gino and Johnny Marzzone. Violet is a very cute and feminine name that fits the role of the character. as a woman in the lesbian relationship. We could emphasize the fact that when Violette moves away from César, she appears less feminine. Additionally, whenever Violet speaks to men, her voice becomes high-pitched, seemingly making her vulnerable, ensuring that she is taken care of. This is seen in many scenes in the film, notably the one where Caesar opens the briefcase and finds nothing but a stack of newspapers. Caesar asks, “Where could the money be?” Violet responds with her...... middle of paper ......wouldn't find much meaning behind them. In the film, Bound contains many character names such as Violet, Corky, Caesar and supporting characters; Gino and Johnny have symbolic meanings and this is seen throughout the film.
