The popular and growing circulation of misrepresentations of the poor community generated by opinionated and eye-catching media reporting hinders the adoption of enlightened beliefs among the American population. Over time, the poor, especially those on welfare, look less like victims and more like vindictive criminals stealing America's declining wealth.
