  • Essay / Abraham Lincoln - 747

Abraham Lincoln, compared to other presidents, in my opinion, is the best president and he lived in Illinois for a long time because as a lawyer he may have been seen as being very tall and dark, but he actually was, a loving person who was always with his family and made sure that if they were sick he would help them as best he could, but unfortunately, almost all his sons died.ChildhoodAbraham Lincoln was born February 12, 1809 in Kentucky. After his mother's death, he moved to Indiana where he worked as a child ("Abraham Lincoln" paragraph 3-5). He lived in Hardin County where Abraham Lincoln had an old water well and Lincoln had a brother but his brother died. after a few days and Lincoln also had a mother who died of milk diseases (“Abraham Lincoln” History para 2-4). Abraham Lincoln lived in a one-room log cabin, but his family later moved to the Macon Valley ("Abraham Lincoln" para 2).Early lifeAbraham Lincoln married Mary Todd and obtained a marriage license in November 1842.Mary Todd was from Lexington Kentucky when she married, she was 33 years old and Abraham Lincoln met her when she was 21, the reason is because Abraham Lincoln was always involved. deep depression and he called it Hypo. Abraham Lincoln had four sons, Robert, Edward, William and Tom, one lived from 1843 to 1926 and his wife Mary died in 1882. One of his sons died of typhoid and Abraham Lincoln's wife, Mary Todd, was very depressed. Thomas “Tad” Lincoln’s youngest son lived from 1853 to 1871 (Steers. 100). Thomas Lincoln received the nickname “Tad” because his head as a baby was larger than his body (Freedman 81). Abraham Lincoln married a new wife after his wife dyed his new wife's name is Stephanie and she had Willie ("Abraham Lincoln" Paragraph 6). Adult yearsAbraham Linco...... middle of paper ...... age when he was elected by the people ("Abraham Lincoln" Paragraph 65). I still think Abraham Lincoln is still the best president and all the problems that happened in his life made him who he was, even though he was assassinated. he will always be a source of inspiration for other presidents.
