When young people decide not to complete their primary education, they increase their risk of being incarcerated. Failure to achieve a complete education could cause a domino effect among young people, leading them to delinquency or delinquent behavior. Delinquency is the commission of a crime or illegal act by a minor or young person. In this society, education is important to increase your chances of getting a higher salary or a decent job. On almost all job applications, your education is asked. When you are placed in a situation where you are unable to find employment, it is very likely that it will lead to criminal acts. Other major concerns that can lead to juvenile delinquency are peers, income, and authority figures. Studies have been conducted to determine if there is a correlation between high school dropout and delinquency. The problem is that in areas with high delinquency rates, dropout rates are also high. The question that arises is: is this only due to young people dropping out of school or are there other problems that could lead young people to delinquency?
