    While documentary, by its very nature, presents itself as factual, concerns exist about where the boundary between the truth of the subject emerges and the fiction produced by its creator. Since anything edited has, by definition, removed some aspects and enhanced others, there must be at best innocent natural bias formed from individual perception and, at worst, deliberately manipulated misinformation. By researching various sources, I intend to uncover the difference (if any) between these two methods of developing evidence-based programs, determine which variables fall in the "gray area" between the two extremes and to verify the various forms of behavior in what truth (and therefore documentary) can be presented to the public, and to what effect? This report aims to highlight certain elements of documentary making that are perhaps more likely to be influenced by the director, and to once again explore the effect of these decisions on audience reaction to information presented.
