Teleportation has appeared in many science fiction books (Rouge Moon), movies (Jumper), and television shows (The Twilight Zone). A very popular television show, Star Trek, introduced the concept of teleportation. The reason Star Trek sparked the concept of teleportation was due to a piece of technology in the series known as a "transporter" device. The "transporter" device is used to teleport people and materials at the speed of light to different starships, planets, or wherever they need to be sent. It works by placing the object on the transport belt, the object is separated into all its elements. separate the atoms and scan them into a computer where they are projected through another beam and reassembled at their destination. Workers and scientists are still working to make teleportation a reality today; there have been successful experiments in which scientists teleported material from one place to another. In 1998, an experiment was carried out by physicists from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), assisted by two European groups. The experiment was a success because it teleported a photon – an energy particle that carries light. Since then, other experiments have been conducted and much additional research into teleportation has been carried out. One of ...... middle of paper ...... shipped overseas. This would prevent many disasters such as oil leaks during shipping and things like that. Scientists and researchers will continue to look for ways to make teleportation possible and find practical uses for teleportation. Teleportation may be the only way to see parts of the universe that would take millennia to reach by a space shuttle. CONCLUSIONTeleportation is virtually illegal if humans used it, as it would be an act of murder and creation. It would not be worth investing all the money in teleportation, because this concept has many more disadvantages than advantages. The human race would be much safer without it. People would rather spend twenty-four hours of their lives traveling abroad than creating a replica of themselves and risking their lives just to get to their destination faster.BIBLIOGRAPHY
