    The contrasting characters Biddy and Estella from Great Expectations Dickens describes Biddy as a simple character. It makes it seem like she's a better fit for Pip. He uses phrases like “blessing” and “beautiful in heart.” Dickens uses almost pleasant words to describe Biddy, which makes the reader feel that she is the good character in this novel. On the other hand, he describes Estella as "cruel and cold". This makes her seem more and more condescending and inconsiderate. This is obviously not the good character in this novel. Dickens creates these characters according to the stereotypes of good and bad characters, as Biddy is said to have no bad bones in her body while Estella is cruel but also described as "pretty and beautiful".
