  • Essay / Christian Doctrine: Angels are God's Warriors

A lot of things may come to mind when you think of the word angel. You probably think of winged beings that sit on clouds all day, singing and playing lyres. If you thought that, you are wrong, very wrong. Angels are warriors of God, respecting His Laws and only His Laws. They are the protectors of the earth and its inhabitants and sometimes, the destroyers. The importance of an angel may not be widely known, but his work for us will never be forgotten. Angels are pure spirits created by God. The English word angel comes from a Greek translation, angelos, meaning messenger. There are, however, two exceptions. The Hebrew word malak is another word for angel or messenger. The Old Testament believed in angels because they had no doubt about the ability of celestial beings to do supernatural things. Angels are messengers of God, trying to give the ultimate benefit to humans. Sometimes angels have human bodies, but originally angels did not have material bodies. Being spiritual beings means that they do not have a physical body, but are complete in their spiritual body. Since they do not occupy a defined space, they are illogically present and they are not omnipresent. Angels have always known their existence in God and their unique personality. They possess knowledge and wisdom and excel in strength. Angels are rational beings who express joy when a sinner on earth repents, leading to a desire to examine things that concern the Kingdom of Christ. In the beginning before creation, nothing existed except God. He did everything in the first six days and rested on the seventh, never doing anything after the sixth day. This means that during these six days, God must have created angels, and the rebellion of some angels must have occurred...... middle of paper ...... Good angels are an important part of our life. daily life, because they protect us from bad angels who tempt us to sin. Many people forget their importance, because they are still only creations of God. They are God's warriors and protectors of the repentant who turn away from sin. Angels help our world from becoming completely sinful by fighting against these evil forces. People don't always realize the importance of an angel, but an angel will always do their job for us, even if no one realizes it. Works Cited. Koehler, W.A., Edward. A summary of Christian doctrine.
