    The leadership team and chief talent officer created a talent management strategy that did just that. The CTO brought to the company a Drotter “outcomes-based” Leadership Pipeline approach that focused its talent management and performance management efforts on achieving results that support both customer and organizational goals of the company. The talent management process is effective in clearly articulating performance expectations, job requirements, and leadership responsibilities. Additionally, the new approach reduced employee turnover and was attributed to the company's financial success. However, the company should not completely exclude essential leadership skills from its talent management strategy. There are important leadership skills, such as employee motivation and learning abilities, that should not be overlooked.
