    This planning model focuses on adolescent health risk behaviors, such as substance abuse, violence, teen pregnancy, delinquency and school dropout. Furthermore, the respondents, apart from smoking, also admitted to dropping out of school, engaging in violent behavior, using illegal drugs and becoming pregnant. Accordingly, through the risk and protective factor planning model, prevention programs can focus on decreasing risk factors contributing to smoking and, at the same time, increase protective measures.
