  • Essay / Healthy Eating Habits: Organic Vegan Diet - 1689

A healthy diet goes hand in hand with physical and mental health, and a purely raw organic vegan diet is proven to be best for everyone's health, study after study. A purely raw organic vegan diet may seem incredibly radical to some, but it contains the most important information, such as animal products, environmental impact, genetically modified foods, pesticides, and toxicity/nutritional loss of cooking. With a little science, this needlessly controversial question will be well resolved. Animal products, like dairy, eggs, and especially meat, are staples here in America (“One Nation”). Most of us eat at least one every day. Most of us grew up with these familiar names and learned that for good health, they are not only necessary but essential to consume. Dairy products are known for being rich in calcium, eggs for being rich in animal protein, and meat for its high animal protein content. Dairy products are of course rich in calcium and animal proteins, but they are also excellent for acidifying the body (“Debunking”). Our ability to absorb the calcium found in cow's milk is incredibly poor and it is because of this acidifying quality of all animal proteins that the "drink milk for calcium" myth comes into play. You see, calcium is an excellent acid neutralizer and our body stores calcium mainly in bones. This means that when we consume milk or any other animal protein, our body becomes acidic and our body counteracts this by removing calcium from our bones to neutralize it. Once the calcium is extracted from the bones, it is eliminated through urination. Eating dairy products or any other animal protein depletes our body of calcium and makes it much more susceptible to fractures. Countries with the lowest consumption of dairy products, like...... middle of paper ......use food to become "empty" calories that only fill you up for a short time and leave the body deprived of vitamins and other nutrients ("Details"). There are countless articles such as the one I used in the paragraph that support the same information ("Zenhabits"). To conclude, the information in this essay may be quite difficult for the average person to accept. For most people, it seems foreign to even consider never eating cooked foods. However, it is important to remember that the most effective way to transition to an all-raw organic vegan diet is with forgiveness and time. It's best for us and the planet to slowly introduce organic raw plant foods into our lives, understanding that it's okay to eat them from time to time. Even the most successful raw organic vegans are said to indulge in it from time to time..
