  • Essay / Youth Voting Essay - 704

A simple reminder, here or there, of how “your votes count” in schools and on television is not enough to help young voters get out and contribute actively in politics. It was predicted that education would be one of the main factors in the likelihood of voting. There was a 27.3% difference between the number of people with a college education (55.9%) and the number of people without a college education (28.6%). More educated people are twice as likely to vote as less educated people. Less educated people need to be made more aware of voting so that they understand the impact of how they vote or not vote on the overall outcome of the election. One way to do this is to organize small courses or workshops accessible to everyone. By doing this, often enough that everyone who wants to achieve this can achieve it without having to worry. Even online courses could be helpful. Everything must be done to make young voters aware of the importance of their vote.
