Biography of Bill GatesBill Gates is not only a genius, but also an innovator in the fields of education, technology and philanthropy. A prodigy, Bill Gates shares an educational fact with Abraham Lincoln, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and even his competitor Steve Jobs: no college degree. Instead, he devoted his time to his passion for technology, creating the most profitable technology company in the world. For much of the last decade, Gates has devoted both his profits and his attention to philanthropy. Evidence of his innovation, industry and curiosity can be seen from an early age. Gates' passion for technology began at age 8, when he built his first computer program. This program allowed the player to participate in a game of tic tac toe against the system. From that point on, Bill spent every ounce of his free time in the computer room.
