  • Essay / Analysis of Liz in the movie "Homeless To Harvard"

To begin with, Liz shows ambition by going to Eva and saying, "I don't want to be an idea, I want to go back to school » (Liz, End of film). After saying that, she filled out an application form and an essay, then she transferred it to the school. She states the principle ambitiously: “I'm smart, I just need a chance” (Liz, End of Film). This statement shows that she hopes to succeed. Elizabeth shows ambition by taking 10 classes at a time. She explains the following principle: "I want to finish four years of high school in 2 years because I'm 17 and I don't want to graduate from high school at 21" (Liz, End of film). Liz continues to show ambition by writing essays to try to win scholarships so she can attend Harvard. She hopes to win the New York Times scholarship, which is why she attends the finalists' interview. Liz shows her satisfaction by crying tears of joy when she wins the scholarship! Finally, Elizabeth shows satisfaction when she gets into Harvard, gets an apartment, and gets a job at the New York Times. All these examples explain why I consider Liz to be a hopeful, contented and ambitious woman.
