    Being considered a “well-educated” person is a topic that has been debated many times by friends and family. There are some in this debate who consider themselves highly educated because of their great financial success, others because of their numerous degrees. I find that people's attitudes can make or break a person, no matter who they are or how much they have earned financially. The truth is that no matter what a person may have in life, if ignorance precedes him, this title cannot be applicable in any way. Some societies believe that the importance of being educated depends on the level of education, academic goals, and a particular social status associated with a certain degree of class or stature. For some people, social status may depend on how many friends are on social media, how many photos they have, how much money is in a bank account, or what car they drive. Others define their social status by joining social clubs, competitions, or community groups. The level of a good standard of education is difficult to define and instead of defining what it means, why not ask about the goals of education. Paradoxical statements are also used to contradict the truth about people and how they can be seemingly intelligent but not have a clue about the simplest things. The quality of education is evaluated based on what a student should know or be able to do to be considered educated. The question of whether people seriously debate this topic today is comparable to that of the first century. I would like to think that education was important then as it is today. Skepticism may favor or be defensible depending on the topic, but there must also be a recognition... ... middle of article ...... beyond academic goals to determine the answer. THESIS Being well educated does not always mean consisting of eloquent people, successful business owners, prestigious academics with a few degrees, or decorated military personnel. Many will say that it is the quality of the person or character that is most important. People are judged simply on what others may or may not assume, what they see, or what is written, with the possibility of not being fact. Many people have been given some sort of status in life that can either elevate a person in importance or decrease their quality of life. Many have obtained positions with the right to say that they are “well educated,” which is a fair representation or assessment of who they are or have become.
