    Many of my instructors, like a high school teacher I had for both chemistry and physics majors, reminded me of the professor from the TV show , Charlie Brown, who simply droned on with no discernible enthusiasm or interest in the subject. These professors taught classes that I invariably found “unbearable” because no thought or experimentation was required on my part. However, the classes I excelled in always brought new variables and, combined with an interesting topic, invariably held my attention during the semester and beyond. Two instructors come to mind in my 15 years of study, and both because of the different and often interesting approaches they took.
