Essay / Hareton Characters in Wuthering Heights - 1004
Isabella's downfall came when she married Heathcliff. She did not approve of the man he was and she became a cruel woman. Eventually, she begins to hate Heathcliff with every fiber of her being. Isabella's character was difficult to like, she was vile and rude. But certain aspects of his personality, such as his wit and sarcasm, are generally found endearing. I identify with Isabella in the sense that I can be very sarcastic and witty myself. Isabella may have used her rudeness and sarcastic personality as a defense mechanism to protect her from harm. She had high expectations of Heathercliff, which I always do. I tend to expect a lot from everyone, but I have to learn to accept the fact that everyone learns and grows just like me, and that it's almost impossible for everyone to live up to my expectations. expectations. In conclusion, many of the characters in Wuthering Heights were flawed but gave me a life lesson. They taught me to be open-minded, because a great thing can come from a horrible thing. In life, we all go through a metaphorical tunnel. There is light and darkness within us, but we must always remember that darkness is temporary and once we are out of that tunnel, life is more lasting. The love story between Catherine and Heathcliff was tragic, but satisfaction came when they were buried together and they will remain together.
