Essay / The Importance of a Career in Accounting - 1549
My hope is to be admitted into the Master of Accounting program at their business school. Once this master's degree is completed, I plan to become a chartered accountant. However, I will start working while I prepare for the exam. Although it will be difficult, the work experience will certainly complement my learning and hopefully make it easier to pass the exam. I might even try to work as an accountant, part-time, while pursuing my master's degree. This may or may not be possible, as some master's in business programs require students to spend a large portion of their day either in the classroom or with other students completing projects or studies. Regardless, once I get my master's degree, I plan to find a full-time accounting position with a very good salary. My father will pay for my baccalaureate. For that, I am truly grateful. However, my father may not be able to pay for my master's degree. For this reason, I will probably have to find a part-time job. However, I can also start saving now to prepare for this big expense so that work can remain an option rather than a necessity. Additionally, I also plan to apply for scholarships and grants. I would prefer not to take out student loans because of the difficulty they cause when trying to successfully start a business.
