    Will County is home to a number of historic landmarks, famous people, and a plethora of history. It was not always as constructed as some parts are today; About two hundred years ago, Will County was a prairie land in which it was farmed and hunted by the Potawatomi Indian tribe. The first settlement established within the county limits was established by a man named Jesse Walker in 1826. He named it Walker's Grove and worked with Potawatomi in farming, milling, and trading with the new arrivals from the establishment.
