    Child labor is a major problem among nations because it prevents children from receiving the education they should receive to improve their future. Instead of going to school, these children work in agriculture, manufacturing, factories and other activities involving drugs and prostitution. Ultimately, child labor exists because these economies are so poor that it is a much cheaper way to get things done and bring in money. Child labor has existed for centuries and even with new laws and regulations, children still work under the legal age and do not attend school. There are many characteristics embedded in child labor. These laws and regulations are supposed to ensure that these children are in school rather than working. This is an attempt to end child labor because no one should violate these laws. Even though we have come a long way in trying to prevent child labor children, it's surprising that almost every product we've heard of involves some form of child labor. I believe that if companies were more concerned about where they buy their products and less concerned about spending as little money as possible, we could prevent child labor. If large companies boycotted these areas known for high rates of child labor, it would certainly reduce this number. If companies like Victoria Secret, Hershey's, Apple and Walmart stopped buying from these high index countries, then there would be no reason for children to work. This is a major problem and it should be a priority to get these children into school and focus on their education instead of working at such a young age..
