Boxing is one of America's most famous sporting events, drawing crowds from all walks of life. Muhammad Ali is a boxer who has captured the hearts of many people over the years. Muhammad Ali is perhaps known as "the greatest" athlete of all time. Even people who don't follow boxing know about Muhammad Ali. He had a lifetime of accomplishments, including receiving an Olympic gold medal and being recognized for donating millions of meals around the world in an attempt to end hunger. Muhammad Ali was born as Cassius Marcellus Clay in Louisville, Kentucky. The famous boxer began his hobby at the age of 12 when a very significant event occurred. Clay had his brand new bike stolen. This made him angry and gave him a desire to learn how to fight. After that day, Clay was known for the dedication he put into his boxing and his work ethic that could only be matched by professionals (The Boxer). Muhammad Ali may be one of the most recognizable athletes of all time, but he is even more known for what he did for the world during his life. Ali's incredible sporting exploits, flamboyant entertainment, political efforts and activist lifestyle would have had an even greater impact if he were alive in the 1910s. During the 27 years that Ali boxed, he achieved spectacular sporting achievements. Some of these include: Golden Glove Championships, AAU National Titles, Heavyweight National Championships, and even an Olympic Gold Medal. His many sporting achievements could have really helped influence the population of 1910. An influential black athlete in the decade between 1910 and 1919, like Muhammad Ali, would have been in the middle of paper in the near future. Ali developed Parkinson's disease as a result of a neurological problem caused by all the punches he took to the head during his long boxing career. This new outlook on life that formed in Ali made his loving personality known throughout the world. Everyone expects to see a lot more good things from Ali in his remaining years. No one can deny that Muhammad Ali didn't have an incredible life. We only see it in people's dreams or in movies. He touched everyone he met during his life and touched millions of lives through his good deeds. He is loved by many and will be greatly missed when he passes away for all the good he did trying to help others. Ali is perhaps one of the most influential athletes of all time and is said to have positively influenced everyone around him. He will always have a place in people's hearts and in history books for years to come..
