Essay / Does love exist in the heart of the city? - 1895
New York, the city of love, right? Wait no, it's Paris. SHIT. What is New York for? Oh yeah, business. Everything in the city is business related. Even love in the city is a business. Jay-Z and Beyoncé may be a love story, but deep down, the whole relationship ultimately works because they are on the same level and have the same business standards. So I believe that love is driven by motivations. I know, the assumption IS cynical, but I truly believe that in a city like New York, some sort of motive drives every little thing. Even platonic love has motivations. Hov's song "Heart Of The City (Ain't No Love)" simply says that there is no love in the heart of the city. He says more money brings more problems. We talk about it since he's a businessman, he doesn't have time for bullshit. With success comes jealousy of those around you, whether they pretend to like you or not. He says he's just trying to do it and his only concern is his business. Even though he is very concerned with the business side of his life, he has all the luxuries he ultimately wants, so he just wants to enjoy the simple pleasures of life at this point. I consider it one of the hearts of the city. be Penn Station. There are always a lot of people moving around the country. The travel possibilities are endless. I decided on a Tuesday evening to go to Penn Station to explore the motivations and forces that lead people to travel and why. I walk around the station which always seems to have this delicious smell that I never get tired of. Maybe because there's a Taco Bell there? I don't know, all I know is I like Taco Bell, so I go to Taco Bell. Sadly... middle of paper ... There's certainly truth to what Jay-Z is talking about, but when there's real, unmotivated love in the city, it's priceless. Love is a source of happiness in life; it is a psychological necessity. When it is pure, it is healthy, but when it is not, problems arise. Although this is the case, people try to force bonds and love due to hidden incentives. When this is the case, we can believe that it could end badly. To the girl from Colombia, I hope everything works out for her. To Whiny and his minions, I hope no one gets hurt in this situation. And finally, to the brothers and sisters I met in Union Square, I hope that nothing, especially not a bad girlfriend or boyfriend, comes between the two of you. And for everyone else in town looking for love, there's no right or wrong place to look, but just guard your heart and try to gauge whether it's healthy or if it's simply motivated..
