Dear Holmes, I hope you are well and I continue to pray that your health remains in good shape so that we can complete this investigation. The main reason I am writing this letter to you is to keep you informed of everything that is happening at Baskerville Hall. In our car, Sir Henry and I were treated to mental stimulus in the form of serene meadows and farmers tending to their tall cows. I never imagined that after crossing such a tranquil and heavenly landscape, we would be greeted upon arrival by a barrage of soldiers. Holmes, at that moment my heart wept for Sir Henry because he had expressed his eagerness to visit the moor, and I could only imagine what he must have felt after arriving at that most inappropriate moment . As we rode to the estate in a horse-drawn carriage, our questions were answered by an infantryman who informed us that a convicted murderer, named Selden, had escaped from prison.
