Alexander the Great was a powerful man from childhood, and he grew up to become one of the most powerful and courageous rulers of all time. He first demonstrated this strength and courage at the age of fourteen. Alexander was very fascinated by horses and he watched horses without saddles gallop. Even the best riders were not able to break the horses. A horse was then brought in that no one, not even the mighty King Philip, Alexander's father, could master. The horse Bucephalus was arguably the most famous horse in history. King Philip, with his short temper, wanted to get rid of him, but Alexander said he could ride him and he did. Alexander the Great was one of the most powerful and strongest rulers of all time.
