Problems in EducationThe American system has undergone several laudable reforms in the past. However, some factors remain unaddressed and require more aggressive measures. The unequal distribution of funds for schools is a practice considered suitable for all schools. On the contrary, this method of distributing funds has raised other relevant questions which suggest that it should be revised. There is also concern about the high student-teacher ratio in these educational institutions, which leads to very large classes. There is also a need to reduce class sizes in American public schools, which will consequently reduce the student-teacher ratio. It was found that smaller class size ensured better academic performance for students. A smaller class ensures better classroom discipline because the class is easier to manage in general. There is also an increase in the individualized attention given to each student by the teacher, enabling them to identify those who require special attention and those who are rightly exemplary in their ability to grasp concepts. This will ensure that both types of students do not suffer as a result of not taking appropriate action. This is how the education system can be improved.
