In many different states, students face struggles and difficulties in obtaining a decent education in elementary school. The documentary describes the many changes that were made to try to improve education and failed due to a lack of resources for students within districts. Michelle Rhee, who was an American education reform advocate, addressed these concerns and proposed many ways to try to improve districts so that students succeed. Although there were many programs and laws passed in the education system, NCLB (No Child Left Behind) was a law that protected students to ensure that they could understand and perform at basic levels.
