  • Essay / Distressed Properties - 1232

"Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago." Warren Buffet, considered one of the most successful investors in the world, quoted what I consider to be a very significant and true statement. Investments, if done well, help ensure a bright and serene financial future. However, many today do not believe that this could be an easy process, especially in the current economic context. The current financial situation facing the country has challenged individuals, young and old, with unprecedented financial burdens. The struggling economy has caused many people to view the future as an unstable, nail-biting state. In other cases, people do not believe that safe investments are feasible or realistic. In addition to providing income, property owners also benefit from financial security and stability. As a young man, who has done a lot of research into the real estate market, I have come to the conclusion that distressed properties provide maximum return, both financially......and on paper... ...it can be done on your own terms, exactly how you want it to look and it will also bring you personal satisfaction if you were to participate in rebuilding it. A recently rebuilt property has now become my own comfortable living space for the next two years while studying at Sacramento State University. The investment has also provided a financial profit, thanks to its continued appreciation in value and when it becomes a rental for future students and families.Works cited. “Sacramento’s foreclosure rate was No. 10 in the U.S. in August.” Sacramento Business Journal.
